Meet the Pastry Chef 

Let’s Talk Cakes is a small home cake bakery run by me, Liane LaMacchia. For the past 8 years I have been working to perfect my baking and decorating skills to better my craft and learn as much as I can.  I’ve been baking for over 10 years and have spend the last 6 years in 3 different James Beard nominated restaurants down in Florida.

Baking has always been a favorite past time of mine, and  growing up with 7 sisters I got lots of practice. I quickly realized it was something I truly enjoyed doing.  So, I dedicated my time to growing my skills and knowledge of pastry.  I’ve worked on my craft in many different places around the globe, including Florida and South Korea, in all sorts of avenues from restaurants to bakeries, and even the Amway Arena.

Throughout my journey, my main focus has always been taste. Beautiful cakes are great, but if they’re not the most delicious cake you’ve ever had, what’s the point? That’s why a big part of my goal is to introduce Wisconsinites to all of the delicious flavors I’ve come across in my work. I hope you find them as yummy as I do!
